Seized Land Rover.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police's roads policing group made the stops over the course of two night shifts.

The car seized was a Land Rover stopped in Scarborough which was shown as uninsured on the police's system.

Officers said the driver tried to show a valid policy but also had an email showing it had been cancelled.

They also arrested the driver of a white Fiesta headed out of Scarborough on suspicion of drink driving after he failed a roadside breath test.

And they followed a van along the A171 in Whitby which was straddling the central white lines and then overtook another vehicle by crossing a solid white line and approaching the brow of a hill.

Police stopped the vehicle and fined the driver.
