Thugs grabbed woman's wheelchair and pulled it backwards and forwards, leaving her shocked and in pain - then they walked off, laughing

The men jerked the woman's chair backwards and forwards several times before walking off, laughing.

The assault happened on Sunday at 3pm in Lansdowne Road, Bridlington, as the 40-year-old woman was passing the men outside a hair salon.

She was left shaken and in pain as the men made off in the direction of Marshall Avenue.

They were described as white and in their 40s. The man who grabbed the chair was described as around 6ft 4ins tall, of large build, with black hair. He wore a dark blue polo shirt, with jeans and dark shoes.

One of the other men wore a white or cream top with dark jeans.

Sergeant Nick Bunker, from Humberside Police's Community Cohesion Team, said: “This was a cowardly attack on a vulnerable woman, who has been left very shaken and distressed.

“These men may have believed it was all a joke but she certainly didn’t see it that way and neither do we.

“If you saw the incident or the men in the area at the time, or you can help us to identify who they are, please get in touch with us on our non-emergency 101 line, quoting incident number 16/78609/20."
