Dramatic cliff rescue by Bridlington Coastguards
Bridlington Coastguard were called to Sewerby cliff tops yesterday evening.

Bridlington Coastguard rescue team were called out at 8.30pm yesterday to reports of a person on or around the Sewerby cliff top area.
A light was spotted on the cliff and the casualty was located on the cliff face approximately 10 metres from the top.

Hide AdA cliff top system was set up to deploy a cliff technician over and assist the casualty back to the top using a rescue sling.
The incident happened close to the Coastguards station on Limekiln Lane.
Coastguards say the casualty was "despondent".
The team were also assisted by Filey Coastguard
The casualty was recovered and handed over to Humberside Police Officers and crews from Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
