'Be prepared': Flood alert issued for Bridlington
An amber ‘prepare’ flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Bridlington area.
The flood alert has been issued from 8:15am tonight (November 11) until 2:30am tomorrow (November 12) morning. It covers the North Sea coast from Bridlington to Barmston, and also includes Flamborough.
An Environment Agency spokesperson said: “High tides this evening may lead to flooding.
"Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
"We are closely monitoring the situation.”
