Bridlington coastguard attend call out after vessel capsized off Primrose Valley Holiday Park
Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to reports of a capsized vessel off Primrose Valley Holiday Park over the weekend.
The incident took place on Saturday March 28 and Bridlington Coastguard were assisted by their colleagues from Filey Coastguard and Filey RNLI.
On arrival, teams quickly assessed the situation and confirmed that both persons on board had safely exited the water prior to their arrival.
They were cold but, fortunately, uninjured. The occupants are now making their own arrangements for the recovery of the vessel. A Bridlington Coastguard spokesperson said: “A positive outcome and a reminder of how quickly conditions at sea can change.
"If you’re heading out on the water, please check the conditions, wear appropriate safety equipment, and let someone know your plans.
"If you see a coastal emergency, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.”
