One person rescued after car comes off road near Egton Bridge, Whitby
Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called in the early hours of Monday morning (December 9) to assist a casualty who had come off the road near Delves Bridge.
The team was called shortly after 1am by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service who requested assistance to recover a casualty from a car that had gone off the road near Delves Bridge, south-west of Egton Bridge.

Due to the recent heavy rain and the consequent conditions underfoot, the team was needed to safely carry the casualty to the roadside ambulance.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police were also in attendance.
After making the early morning call to members, some were deployed via Base to take both Team Land Rovers, whilst others made their way directly to the rendezvous-point in personal vehicles.
Owing to the road conditions, once there some team members were taken across the ford using the Land Rovers.
They were then able to carry the casualty for approximately 75-metres to the roadside for transfer to the waiting ambulance.
Fourteen Cleveland MRT members were involved for approximately two hours before starting their journey home (up to another hour for some with longer journeys and for those returning vehicles to the Base).
