Scarborough firefighters called out to reports of smoke - only to find it was a sea fret
Scarborough firefighters were called out to reports of smoke in Ravenscar – only to find when they got there that it was a sea fret.
They put the call-out, at 10.25am on Thursday January 16, down to a false alarm with good intent.
An hour later, Filey fire crew responded to an activated fire alarm inside a single residential building in the town’s Constable Road.
The occupant did not know the reason why the smoke alarm had activated, but it was due to a fault on the system.
