EU referendum registration deadline extended
A Government minister has announced that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming EU referendum is to be extended until Thursday.
Thousands of people across the country could not register by the initial deadline on Tuesday night because a Government website crashed.
Emergency legislation may be required for the extension.
Cabinet Office minister Matt Hancock confirmed the extension.
