Firefighters cut man from car following crash on Whitby to Pickering road

A man had to be cut from a vehicle after a crash near Saltergate on the Whitby to Pickering road.

Firefighters from Whitby, Pickering and Fylingdales were called after a vehicle left the A169 at Hole of Horcum at 7.46pm yesterday.

The man was freed from the vehicle by crews using hydraulic cutting equipment and taken to hospital in an ambulance.
