Former Scarborough doctor joined Islamic State
A doctor who worked in Scarborough hospital has joined Islamic State, it has been revealed.
Issam Abuanza worked at Scarborough Hospital between October 2012 and August 2013.
Dr Abuanza, 37, left his Sheffield home in 2014 to join the terrorist organisation.
During his time at Scarborough he posted a video of himself praying at in the hospital's on-call room.
Dr Abuanza made a series of posts on social media celebrating terrorist attacks.
