Irton Manor on the market for £2m

Irton Manor trades as a private and exclusive hire holiday let located in Irton near to Scarborough.

The property offers a great escape for guests who are kept occupied by the amenities on offer, including a large indoor heated swimming pool, a tennis court, a mini golf course and croquet lawn.

But now the whole property, and 15-acre gardens are up for sale.

Current owners, Paul and Karan Ridley, revealed how they came to buy Irton Manor.

They said: “A friend asked me if I would like to attend a Macmillan garden fete at Irton Manor.

“We arranged to meet her but, unfortunately, she forgot to turn up.

“We loved the gardens so much that we asked the owner to sell the house to us; and that was how we end up buying this beautiful property.

“It was very run down at the time, and took us close to two years to renovate the entire house, both inside and out.”

The manor is on the market for £1,950,000 and a further 20 acres of land, including cottages and a riding school is available by separate negotiation.
