Letter: An amazing effort from a caring town
May I, through The Scarborough News, thank the people of the borough of Scarborough for their generosity to the work of The Salvation Army during the Christmas period.
We have received an unprecedented amount of support for our work and words cannot really describe the way we have felt as the people of Scarborough have helped us to support those within our town in many different and difficult situations.
Our town centre collecting during December totalled £6,821.73, which is absolutely amazing! Thank you to everyone who helped. This truly is a caring place to live.
