Lifeboat crews help in search for diver reported missing

Lifeboats from Bridlington and Flamborough helped search for a missing diver today.

The crews were called out at 12.30pm after HM Coastguard received concerns from a dive boat which had broken down near Hornsea about a diver who had not yet surfaced.

Fortunately, another dive boat in the area found the diver - who was not hurt - and passed him onto the Flamborough lifeboat crew.

He then boarded the broken down dive boat which was towed back to shore.
