Man airlifted to hospital after being trapped under lorry at Ruswarp, near Whitby

A man was airlifted to hospital after being freed from underneath a lorry near Whitby.

The man trapped under a lorry was airlifted to James Cook.

Paramedics were called to help the trapped man near the market in Ruswarp at 9.15am yesterday.

Firefighters were also called along with the air ambulance which took him to James Cook Hospital.
