Man taken to hospital after waterfall accident at Beckhole, near Goathland

Paramedics were called to Thomassons Foss at Beckhole yesterday evening to the aid of a man who was said to have been injured tombstoning.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service received an emergency call to the waterfall at 5.53pm.

The air ambulance and a land ambulance were dispatched to the scene and one patient was taken by road to James Cook Hospital.

This follows a tombstoning incident - where people jump into water from a high platform - at the same spot on May 31, when a man was winched from the scene of the accident to Hull Royal Infirmary.
