Man trapped after attempting to climb Scarborough cliff

A man was rescued by firefighters after trying to climb a cliff in Scarborough this morning.

Crews from Scarborough Fire Station were called to The Holms, beneath the castle, at 1.20am to reports the man was trapped after attempting to climb the cliff face.

They used specialist height rescue equipment and lighting to bring him to safety.
