“It is fantastic to be able to do it in the Royal Hall,” she said.

“My dance teacher Jimmy Baron always used to talk about it and every time I thought ‘I want to do that’.

“When I was asked before Christmas, it absolutely made my day.

Her first ballroom and latin social afternoon will be on Wednesday, May 17, from 2pm to 5pm.

They continue on June 14, July 12 and 26, August 9 and 23 and September 6.

Michelle added: “They are social events for anyone to come along to and they have run for years.

“Hopefully, we can get more people coming because it is a real mixed group.

“It’s not a class, there is no teaching, it’s purely for fun.

“Any level can come along and have a go. It’s a nice atmosphere and you can make new friends.”
