COACH'S CORNER: Whitey's big performance has been long time coming
Going into the game you’d have thought that defences would’ve been on top with the soggy under-foot conditions, but both sides were loose in their defence.
Both sides came out to attack and I felt we were going to go on and win it at one point, but it wasn’t to be and in the end to collect three points wasn’t the end of the world.

Hide AdCredit to Yarnbury, their number 10 was very experienced and he ran the game very well.
We didn’t play that channel well enough for my liking and didn’t move him around the pitch enough, and he made good inroads.
There were a few negatives in the performance, we threw away good ball on too many occasions, and we were also on the wrong end of some very poor decisions.
I believe a couple of their players should have been sent to the bin, on one particular occasion Mikey Readman was being manhandled and he looked to the referee for some help and it didn’t come, which was very disappointing.

Hide AdWe also lost Ant Coffey to yet another injury in his first game back from a spell on the sidelines.
We’ll be assessing him this week to see how serious it is.
While there were negatives, I took some positives from the game as well.
Yarnbury certainly played their part and I think a draw was probably about fair.
The performance of Paul White was very pleasing.
He was our man of the match, his performance was exceptional. His attitude was spot on, he communicated superbly and he pressed and commanded the game really well.

Hide AdThat has been a long time coming from Whitey, he’s had his fair share of injury problems but hopefully they’re behind him now.
The performance of our younger players was also pleasing.
I think we can now drop the tag of youngsters from these lads.
They have come up into the first team and taken their chance with great conviction.
Hopefully they can maintain their impressive form.
We face Old Brodleians on Saturday in what will be another tough game for us.
There are no easy games in Yorkshire One and this will be no different.
