He asked for a hug and screamed at her: Second report of man harassing Scarborough student as she walked alone
Scarborough teenagers are again being urged to avoid walking alone after a second report of a man harassing a student.
Scarborough Sixth Form College has urged its students to be vigilant after the incident on Stepney Road last Tuesday.
A man is reported to have approached a female student, asked for a hug and then screamed at her.
He was described as small, in his 40s or 50s, with grey hair and a moustache.
Scarborough College students received a similar warning in September after concern about a man intimidating a student in the Falsgrave Park area.
A spokesperson for the college said: "The safety of our students is obviously paramount, and we are encouraging them to use main roads and avoid walking alone."
Students are being asked to report any other incidents to the police via 101 or to the college.
