Letter: A multi-screen cinema ... at the Futurist
Surely the obvious solution the Futurist theatre/multi-cinema debate would be to refurbish the theatre as a multi-screen cinema. Good handy parking at the underground park nearby, as well as Valley Road and South Cliff.
But I expect it’s all about grants and money as usual.
Also – why close the information centre near the harbour in Scarborough?
People get dropped off near the Spa Bridge and do not know, or it is too far to walk up to the Stephen Joseph Theatre or the station for leaflets of other attractions and timetables in the area.
Just a kiosk (small) would do.
As for closing public toilets - I am speechless.
