Letter: Thanks go to all helpers
May I thank the people of Scarborough for their overwhelming generosity towards The Salvation Army over the Christmas period.
Firstly, thanks must go to all the businesses and members of the community that supported our Toy Service on December 10. Over 3,000 toys were donated and distributed – a truly amazing response which has made a massive difference to the lives of many people. Secondly, thank everyone who supported our work with financial donations, and all year round. The absolutely amazing amount of £11,036.10 - yes £11,036.10 was raised to support our work in the community of Scarborough. We are extremely grateful. Many, many thanks to all who donated. Finally, thank you to all of our volunteers who worked so hard to help make Christmas more bearable for some of the people in our community.
