Each year Carers Rights Day aims to highlight the nation's army of unpaid carers and to raise awareness of how carers can get the help and support they are entitled to.

When you're caring, getting the right information at the right time can make all the difference.

Caring can be extremely complicated, whether you’re grappling with the benefits system, considering future care, or just want some reassurance. Each strand is confusing but when all the strands are tangled, it can feel bewildering.

Scarborough and Ryedale Carers Resource are holding an extended helpline on Friday 25 November. Telephone lines will be open from 10am-12noon and 2pm-4pm for any carer to ring in and speak in confidence to a Support Worker about their caring role and what support they are entitled to.
