Sweden’s Henrik Stenson and America’s Phil Mickelson battled it out, both hitting great shot after great shot which made for huge entertainment.
Both making lots of birdies, Stenson just managed to win the battle with a course record equalling 63 and an Open Championship record of a 20 under par four round total.

Hide AdWhat was interesting about this battle is that they were both a long way in front of third place.
So instead of playing stroke play it was more of a match play event for them.
Both played very aggressively, trying to outplay and outwit each other.
With a matchplay mindset, they were both made to make birdies to try and beat each other.

Hide AdIf you get nervous when playing a strokeplay event, try to play a match against your playing partners without them knowing.
This will help to give you a more positive approach to your game.
Rather than thinking about your score you will be thinking about trying to beat your partners.
This will also help when you are playing the final few holes and you are on for a good round.
