Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team were deployed to the Cleveland Way south of Scarborough at 1.50pm on Saturday after the woman - part of a group of walkers - slipped and injured her leg.

Paramedics were treating the woman but they needed the volunteers and their equipment to get her to a waiting ambulance.

The rescue team were also called out on Christmas Day, at 4.38pm, to reports of a vehicle coming off the road because of poor weather in the upper reaches of Bransdale in the North York Moors National Park.

When they arrived, a farmer was using his tractor to get the car back on the road.

The team escorted the vehicle to clearer roads in Kirbymoorside.
