Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott left crowds wanting more

Popular duo Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott were on top form last night when they performed the last concert of their current tour to a packed out Open Air Theatre.

Belting out a mix of old favourites including Rotterdam, Perfect 10, Old Red Eyes and I Need a Little Time, together with recent songs such as DIY, The Austerity of Love and I Don't See Them - the video for which was filmed in Scarborough - they gave an energetic show from beginning to end.

Both Heaton and Abbott's vocals sounded as fresh as ever and didn't disappoint, coupled with their catchy melodies and no-nonsense lyrics, it made for a winning formula.

Other highlights of the evening included outstanding performances of classic Housemartins' anthems Caravan of Love and Happy Hour with everyone joining in and cheering.

As the evening drew to a close the pair finished on a high, and with one final gesture they threw their tambourines into the crowd leaving their fans wanting more.
