Before children headed to the Foreshore to take part in the traditional skipping, teams from local businesses entered into the annual fancy dress pancake race on Aberdeen Walk. A total of 19 teams took part in the action with Boyes, dressed as characters from Austin Powers, taking home first prize - the golden frying pan. Contestants had to complete an obstacle course whilst always carrying tossing a pancake in a frying pan. Marks were awarded for how much pancake was left in each team's pan, the speed they completed the course and how entertaining they were for the crowd. Relive the fun and hilarity with these pictures.
