A star is born - Scarborough Search for a Star competition crowns winners

Lisvane Hall at Scarborough College became a hive of activity on Saturday, December 6 as the finalists for the final of Search for a Star gathered to perform.

An impressive display of talent followed, kicked off by last year’s winner, drummer and vocalist Nancy.

Performers ranged from tiny Esme who enchanted the auditorium with her singing and dancing performance to the sublime vocals of Lollie.

By the end of the evening 17 acts had taken to the stage and the overall winners were announced to the audience.

The winner of the Under 16s category was captivating vocalist Violet Carson, while the Over 16s category was secured with an enchanting dance performance by Alex Rogers

Search for a Star organisers Devan Kellett and Tyler Smith summed up the final perfectly on the show’s Facebook page in just a few words: “What an evening! Search for a Star 2025, You were everything and MORE!!!”
