Capacity crowd welcomes David Gray to Scarborough Open Air Theatre

Scarborough was buzzing on Saturday July 4, as a capacity crowd welcomed multi‑platinum singer‑songwriter David Gray to the Open Air Theatre for a powerful stop on his Past & Present World Tour.

Gray delivered a career-spanning performance celebrating more than three decades of acclaimed songwriting.

The set blended much-loved classics with fan favourites, including The One I Love, My Oh My, Be Mine, White Ladder, You’re The World To Me and This Year’s Love.

A standout moment of the night came as thousands of voices united for a spine-tingling singalong to Babylon, before Gray closed the night with a stunning performance of Sail Away.

Special guests The Divine Comedy opened the evening in style — and yes, they brought The National Express with them — charming the crowd with their trademark wit and timeless songwriting.
