Care homes enjoy sound of music on town tour

Staff at a local funeral directors have been spreading extra cheer around town via the medium of music.

Ernest Brigham and F Kneeshaw and Sons Funeral Directors took the Dignity Charity Organ around nursing and residential homes in Bridlington to offer them some lockdown entertainment.

The team visited 14 homes, including: The Three Trees, Meadowfield Lodge, White Rose Lodge, Bridlington Lodge, Red House, Kirkgate House, Foresters Lodge, Bessingby Hall, Belgrave Court, The Waynes, Applegarth Court, Lucy Lodge, Pentrich House and Portland Mews.

A spokesman said: “The residents absolutely loved the organ music. It brought a smile to their faces in these difficult times.”
