Def Leppard, Bruce Springsteen, P!nk and Coldplay: 19 acts you'd like to see at Scarborough's Open Air Theatre

As the curtain has closed on another summer of gigs at the Open Air Theatre, Scarborough News readers have shared who they want to perform at the venue next year.

The series of concerts organised by Cuffe and Taylor bring thousands of music fans to the Yorkshire coast every year. The buzz of an excited crowd can be felt across the town during the busy summer season.

We asked our readers who they would like to see play at the Open Air Theatre next year, and we received more than 600 comments!

One reader said: “I would love to see original local acts as support- don’t forget the big stars were support acts once!” A trend throughout the comments was a desire to see more alternative, heavier rock bands on the coast- especially following the great success of shows such as Korn, Judas Priest and Hollywood Vampires.

Here, in no particular order, are some of the most popular suggestions.
