Dog hydrotherapy centre near Scarborough nominated for two prestigious national awards
Operation K9, a hydrotherapy centre for dogs, is celebrating after being named a finalist in not one, but two national awards.
The centre qualified as a finalist for two impressive awards, coming runner up in the Dog Friendly Awards and ‘highly commended’ in the Animal Star Awards 2025, a huge achievement.

Rebecca Wilkinson, founder of Operation K9 Hydrotherapy & Wellness in Sherburn and Beverley said: “We’re absolutely thrilled and honoured to be finalists in both awards. Our mission has always been to help dogs live their best, most comfortable lives whether they’re recovering from injury, managing long-term conditions, or simply staying fit and happy. To be recognised nationally for that work is incredibly special.
“These nominations mean so much to us because they reflect the trust and appreciation of our clients and community. Every dog we work with is part of our Operation K9 family, and these awards celebrate them just as much as they celebrate us.”

The Dog Friendly Awards celebrate the UK’s most welcoming and dog-loving businesses, while the Animal Star Awards recognise individuals and organisations going above and beyond for animals and their owners.
Operation K9 operates from two purpose-built centres in Sherburn and Beverley, offering a range of hydrotherapy and rehabilitation services.
Each centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including underwater treadmills, heated therapy pools, and comfortable, stress-free environments designed with dogs’ wellbeing in mind.
