The aim of the campaign is to promote Yorkshire as the walking capital of the world. It is a year long project that will see 365 walks covering all corners of the county.

In line with the new restrictions, you are still permitted to leave the house to exercise locally (on your own, with another person, or within your bubble).
5. Filey Brigg Country Park
This walk takes in Filey Brigg as well as the park where you will be able to see the stunning views of the bay and the town from the steep cliffs on the brigg. The walk is family friendly and there is a playground for younger children but parents are advised to be careful with small children on the cliff part of the walk. Dogs are also welcomed in the park. Distance - 2 miles.
6. Hunmanby Circular Walk.
Starting in the village of Hunmanby this walk heads towards the coast at Filey. The route heads back out of Filey on the Wolds way, and climbs up the hills towards Folkton Wold at the top of Deedle Hill. At the top of the hill take the route back to Hunmanby. Distance - 10 miles.
7. Whitby Abbey and the Coast
Start by climbing the steps from Whitby harbour on the east side past St Mary's Church.The walk takes in part of the Cleveland Way past smugglers cove at Saltwick Bay to the lighthouse and then inland towards the ruins of Whitby Abbey. Distance - 5 miles.
8. Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay
This route takes you towards Whitby Abbey and onto Saltwick Bay and the Whitby Lighthouse before passing Oakham Beck and Rain Dale into Robin Hood's Bay. To extend your walk you can continue along the coast path to Ravenscar and visit Harwood Dale Forest.
