'Excited to begin our journey' - New owners take reins at Ox Pasture Hall in Scarborough

The new owners of Ox Pasture Hall, Wesley and Chloe Nunns have said that they are looking forward to bringing the hotel back to life.

Ox Pasture Hall is a Grade II listed country house hotel and wedding venue with 39 bedrooms including 19 suites, a restaurant and bar, a purpose-built wedding barn, and a luxury spa building with treatment rooms, saunas/steam rooms, a gym and a heated indoor pool. The hotel sits within 17 acres of land including a lake and ornamental gardens.

Located on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park and close to the stunning Yorkshire Coast, the hotel lies between Scarborough and Whitby.

In early 2025, the hotel went into liquidation, with Christie & Co appointed to market the hotel by Claire Foster of Revive Business Recovery.

The hotel has now been purchased by Wesley and Chloe Nunns, who said: “We are incredibly excited to begin our journey with the hotel and bring it back to life!

“The hotel holds a lot of sentimental value for us as we got married here ourselves ten years ago.

“We know the hotel has so much potential and we hope to become one of the best wedding venues in North Yorkshire!”

Mark Worley, Director – Hotels at Christie & Co commented, “Despite Ox Pasture Hall being in liquidation, we knew that the demand for a hotel of this size in this location would be healthy.

“It was a superb opportunity for the right buyer to restore the building and the business to their former glories. We wish Wesley and Chloe all the best with their new venture.”
