Fireworks display to light up the sky on New Year's Eve
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The ten-minute fireworks display on South Bay beach will start at the stroke of midnight to add an extra special touch to residents’ New Year festivities and those visiting the area to celebrate the New Year with family and friends.
Scarborough Borough Council is encouraging everyone to come out to watch the sparkles, whirls and glittering showers and mark the start of 2020 and the new decade, together as
a community.

Hide AdCouncil leader, Cllr Siddons said: "It's something that we haven't done much of in the last few years but I think it will be a focus for people because people do gather down on the beach or on the Esplanade at midnight and all we have is individual little bits of fireworks that go off so I think it would be important for tourism and residents that we have a proper display that welcomes in the new year."
The fireworks will be best viewed from the South Bay seafront or vantage points along the South Cliff.
