Colin was also delighted to be the very first Mayor to take a ride alongside Santa in the Bridlington Round Table Santa Sleigh.

When their Civic year ended, the couple were able to give a cheque for £2,193.34 to their chosen charity.

Bridlington Town Council said: “They both enjoyed their time on the Town Council and felt very privileged to be able to be Mayor and Mayoress of the town that they fell in love with immediately in 2010.”
