Glorious photos from Scalby Fair Beer Festival as sunshine, smiles and great beer delight Scarborough

Here is a selection of lovely photos showing people enjoying the sunshine at the Scaby Fair Beer Festival, which was held at The Nags Head last night ( June 18).

Photographer Richard Ponter attended the event to capture the happy atmosphere and smiling faces of those who attended. The unexpected heat wave was fantastic for the Scarborough event, with lots of people sipping pints outside and enjoying the summer sunshine. It was a relaxed evening full of laughter, conversation, and most importantly great beer.

The Beer Festival is part of a series of events to mark Scalby Fair Week, which runs from June 12 – 21.

The most anticipated event is the Scalby Fair Day, which is circus themed, taking place on June 20.
