Here's what is happening at Scarborough Library this March

On various days throughout the month, Scarborough Library has an array of events on for both children and adults.

Today, Wednesday, March 6, the library will celebrate British Science Week will see a Code-A-Pillar activity taking place between 11am and 11.30am. You can read more about this here.

Thursday, March 7 will see the poetry open house return between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

Friday, March 8 will see a sensory stay and play session taking place between 11am and 11.30pm.

On Saturday, March 9, there will be more celebrations for British Science Week with a special Love Science activity between 1.30pm and 3pm. Booking is essential for this activity and you can ask a member of staff for more details.

On Thursday, March 7, March 14 and March 21, a new Dungeons and Dragons club will be taking place between 3pm and 6pm. Booking is essential for this club, ask a member of staff within the library for more information and how to book.

Thursday, March 14 will see the Mystery Matinee Movie will screen between 2pm and 4pm – you’ll have to pop down and watch to find out what the movie will be!

Later on in the day on Thursday, March 14, there will also be the Ayckbourn and the Library Theatre taking place between 6pm and 7pm. Again, booking is essential for this activity and a member of staff will be able to provide more information.

On Monday, March 18, a PCSO Drop In session will take place between 10am and 12noon.

Thursday, March 28 will see a Micro bit Murder Mystery taking place between 2pm and 3.30pm.

The usual weekly activities will still be taking place throughout the month, including storyime for under-fives on a Monday between 11am and 11.30am, in term-time only.

Rhymetime for under-fives takes place every Wednesday between 11am and 11.30am, in term-time only.

Knit, Natter and More takes place on a Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm, and Stitch Club follows between 4pm and 6pm.

The Breastfeeding Group takes place every Friday morning, between 9.30am and 10.45am and is followed by Stay and Play, for under-fives, between 11am and 12noon, in term-time only.

Saturdays see Lego Club taking place between 11am and 2pm.

Saturday, March 9 and March 23, will see the Social Club taking place between 10am and 12noon.

Saturday, March 16 will see the Board Game Club taking place between 10am and 12noon.

Scarborough Library will close for Easter on Thursday, March 28 at 7pm and will re-open on Tuesday, April 2 at 10am.
