The Yorkshire coast has become the backdrop for Tales of the Unexpected, a new six-part Netflix series inspired by the work of legendary author Roald Dahl.
With cameras rolling across the region, parts of Scarborough and Whitby have been transformed into film sets — bringing a taste of the big screen to the Yorkshire coast. Excitement was palpable across the Yorkshire coast, with members of the public hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the star-studded cast hard at work. Bridgerton and Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan has been spotted in both Scarborough and Whitby, with Scarborough News reporter Hannah de Villiers capturing videos of the star in action.
The cast includes Nicola Coughlan, Toby Jones, Imelda Staunton and Dominic West, adding to the excitement surrounding the production.
Filming has been taking place at locations across the beautiful Yorkshire coast, with Saltburn also reportedly used for additional scenes. Tales of the Unexpected is currently expected to arrive on Netflix in 2027.
