The kind spirit of a little Scarborough girl who died from a brain tumour is set to live on at her school.

Friarage Community Primary School is placing a buddy bench in its playground, planting a pink rosebush and introducing an annual kindness award in honour of Year 5 pupil Jessica Saye.

On Friday, her classmates donned hats or wore pink - Jessica’s favourite colour - and staff sold cakes, all in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
