Families can enjoy being tasked with carrying out activities performed by household servants one hundred years ago when they visit Nunnington Hall during the upcoming half-term holiday. The National Trust property near Helmsley has created a fun and interactive trail around the beautiful manor house. The trail, in the form of a CV, guides visitors through the various roles performed by household servants in 1924. The aim being to see if they possess the skills and meet the requirements necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the desired positions. Activities include ironing, dusting the bannisters, cross stitch and flower arranging. Children then decide at the end which roles, if any, they would choose to accept. Photo: Nunnington Hall/
