The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), has revealed its all-new interactive Santa Express services this festive season.

The festive steam train ride brings to life the magic of Christmas with the opportunity to meet Santa, and his cheeky team of elves, with services running on November 28 and 29, December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, and 22 to 24.

And prices are being frozen at last year’s rate.

The NYMR is again collaborating with Wise Owl Theatre Company to spread seasonal joy, including a new introduction to the magical experience - Gingersnap, a classic, playful festive character who features across the event.

He arrives on a baking tray after having a bit of a mishap in the kitchen and throughout the show the elves will be on hand to help piece together what happened.

The experience takes guests on a return route between Pickering and Levisham for an hour-long journey featuring onboard entertainment by Santa and his elves; Elton Elf the musical genius, Chef Custard, Santa and Rudolf’s personal chef, and Joey Marshmallow, the trickster Elf.

The festive team will also deliver Christmas gifts to all children including a gingerbread man plush toy and festive book to take home as a keepsake.

For more festive fun, Pickering Station will be home to a host of activities including a Naughty or Nice Scanner; Christmas-themed fete games; a Write and Post Your Letter to Santa station; and festive songs performed live on Platform 2.
