Lloyds bank in Scarborough spared from closure as 56 branches set to go are revealed

The branch on St Nicholas Street wasn't listed among the 56 branches across the country which have been earmarked for closure meaning that, at least for now, it will remain open.

Today (January 29), the high street giant revealed that 31 Lloyds, 10 Halifax and 15 Bank of Scotland branches will shut between April and October 2020.

This is due to "changing customer behaviours," which resulted in fewer transactions being made in brink and mortar branches.
