Lucky bingo player scoops £10,000 jackpot at Scarborough's Mecca Bingo

It was a moment to remember for one lucky Scarborough bingo player as she claimed a life changing £10,000 on the National Bingo Game.

The winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, was enjoying an evening out at Mecca Bingo Scarborough this weekend when all her numbers came up and the night took an exciting and unexpected turn, as she called ‘house’ on the National Bingo Game.

The prize-winner, who only visits Scarborough occasionally as a holiday, successfully claimed the club prize and a whopping £10,000, after waiting for her lucky number 13 to be called.

The lucky National Game Bingo winner said: “I am absolutely speechless; the whole thing was so surreal! All I could hear in the background was the echo of people shouting and cheering – the whole club went mental.

A bingo player has won 10,000 at Scarborough's Mecca Bingo.

“I’m so glad we decided to pop down to play as I’m not in Scarborough very often! Everybody in the club was so lovely; so many people were congratulating me.”

The winner has never won more than £1,000 before in the eight years she has been playing bingo and is planning on treating herself to a new car that she has had her eye on for a while.
