Milewood celebrates National Down Syndrome Day in an 'odd' way in Scarborough

Staff and service users from Milewood in Scarborough have donned odd socks to celebrate National Down Syndrome Day (March 21).

More than fifty adults gathered at Peasholm Park on March 18 to enjoy a treasure hunt, where they ‘hunted the manager’ with the winner receiving a special prize.

Everybody then returned to Rowan House to enjoy a lunch of fish and chips.

Deputy Manager Clare Tomlinson said: “People came from all over the region to join in the fun. Everybody joined in, from the people we support to the regional manager.”
