Model of Shannon Class Lifeboat earns praise from Bridlington RNLI team: See it in action here
The model of a Shannon class Lifeboat was created by Ian and Rowan Fothergill and has been tested at the Bridlington Model Boat Society venue.
A post of the Bridlington Lifeboat’s Facebook page highlighted the boat, saying: “The boat is Rowan’s 1/16th Shannon and what a beauty.

Ian said: “It’s taken roughly 12 months to build, on and off, and it’s just about complete now. It just needs a few more bits adding to it.”
