The Mecca winner, who works for the NHS, says this year has been tough with her husband being furloughed from his role as a sound and lighting engineer – and with his work still not having returned to normal, it’s been a real worry.

And she says she is being sensible about the win – a new Nissan Micra has been the only extravagance, plus a conservatory roof is on order due to a leak. The rest is in bonds for the moment.
When asked how she celebrated by the Mecca Winner’s Hub, she said “I went to the supermarket and got two bottles of Champagne and we toasted over a Chinese takeaway, it was perfect."
If circumstances allow she is looking forward to a skiing trip in 2021 after their plans this year were cancelled, and hopes to go for 10 days now instead of the usual week.
Usually the winner and her husband also take their mums – aged 73 and 87 – on holiday.
