North Yorkshire Police celebrates kindness at Filey Junior School
North Yorkshire Police has taken to social media to praise the children of Filey Junior School.
Pupils at the school have been taking part in the “Make an Elderly Person Smile” project, set up by Filey Police.

The initiative is part of Op Present — a project designed to help and support the elderly community throughout the winter months.
A spokesperson for Filey Police said; “We’re so proud of the incredible children at Filey Junior School.
"From bringing farm animals into nursing homes, delivering beautiful flowers, selling their toys, and volunteering at local coffee mornings — every single project has touched hearts and brought joy to our elderly community.
“The impact has been truly special, and the smiles say it all.
“Well done to everyone who entered.
“Congratulations to all those who received prizes, including amazing family vouchers and the top prize of a three‑night weekend away for the whole family.
“A huge thank you to the local businesses who supported this initiative — your generosity helped make this possible.
“Together, through Op Present, we’ve shown that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.”
