Police are urging residents to protect their homes and cars with alarms and locks after two break-ins in Bridlington.

Thieves got into a vehicle parked on Great Barn Street and took property from inside at around 5.30am on Sunday.

And sometime between 10pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, a garage was broken into on Pinfold Court.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Please can vehicle owners and residents ensure that all opportunities to target harden their vehicles and garages are taken with good alarms and locks.

Anyone with information about the thefts or who noticed anyone acting suspiciously in these areas is being asked to call police via 101.
