Saint Catherine’s Make a Will Week raises £5,850 for patient care across Scarborough area
Saint Catherine’s Make a Will Week has raised a grand total of £5,850 to go towards caring for patients in the hospice, at home and out in the community.
The annual initiative, supported by local solicitors, has been running for a number of years and is an important part of the fundraising calendar.
During Make a Will Week, solicitors kindly give their time and expertise for free by writing up a will in return for a donation to Saint Catherine’s.
Law firms took part across the whole area covered by Saint Catherine’s, including Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Malton, Pickering, Bridlington and Driffield.

Susan Stephenson, fundraising operations coordinator, said: “We are very grateful to all the firms who took part and for those clients who came forward to write or renew their wills and donated towards patient care.
"This money will go towards ensuring that patients and their loved ones receive the best possible care, free of charge, at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.
“A huge thank you to our wonderful supporters at Thorpe & Co, Colin Brown & Kidson, Crombie Wilkinson, Ware & Kay and Pinkney Grunwells.
"We simply could not achieve this without you.”
Details of Saint Catherine’s Make a Will Week 2026 will be coming soon.
