Elves, fairies and an oven ready turkey were all on hand to greet Saint Nick as he was welcomed to the centre with open arms.
The free event included carol singing, a raffle and Christmas cookies and Santa presented children with a free selection box to celebrate his arrival.
The evening was not without incident, as just prior to Santa’s arrival four boys escorted a 78-year-old lady, who had fallen and hit her face on the pavement, into the centre.
A spokesperson for Gallows Close said: “It was not a pretty sight!
“The lady was worried about her trolley and two dogs, so the boys went to search for her belongings.
“The dogs were taken home as we had to call an ambulance once we assessed her injuries.
“Thankfully the lady is now back home safe and reunited with pooches.
“The boys did amazing supporting the lady.”
